Nordic Wind Integration Research NetworkAs the Danish member of Nordic Wind Integration Research Network (NWIN) Ea Energy Analyses is taking part in the discussions within the network and actively participating in the conferences hosted by the network. Other members of the network include Lappeenranta University of Technology (LUT) from Finland, Norwegian University of Science and Technology (NTNU) from Norway and North European Power Perspectives (NEPP) from Sweden.
A forum for researchers and experts from the Nordic countriesThe Nordic Wind Integration Research Network (NWIN) is a pan-Scandinavian network established to strengthen collaboration between Nordic researchers and industry representatives. NWIN purpose is to provide a forum for researchers and experts from the Nordic countries to discuss openly the challenges introduced into the electricity markets by significant amounts of wind. NWIN offers researchers and experts working in relevant areas the opportunity to present and discuss their work, to learn about new developments, concepts and practices, and to identify future research needs. The network is supported by the Nordic Council of Ministers.
NWIN will be holding three seminars focused on wind integration. The seminars' foremost idea is to connect researchers in peer-to-peer interaction to foster intense discussion. The first seminar was held in Gothenburg, Sweden on December 14th 2011. Mikael Togeby, partner in Ea Energy Analyses, conducted a presentation at the seminar on “The Danish decision of a 50% wind power share in the electricity system by 2020 - means to secure an efficient utilization of wind resources.” His presentation and the other presentations from the seminar can be found here.
