European Smart Metering Alliance - ESMA

Ea Energy Analyses has contributed to the EU project "ESMA - the European Smart Metering Alliance". The goal of ESMA has not least been to promote energy savings by introducing new meters. Energy savings may for instance be achieved by rendering the energy consumption visible. In the ESMA guide that has been developed, a number of displays designed for this purpose are shown. Furthermore, the guide contains chapters on meters and demand response as well as guidelines for trials documenting energy savings in connection with feedback on energy consumption.

The project was carried through from 2006 to 2009 and was part-funded by the Intelligent Energy Europe (IEE) programme.
