EcoGrid.dk - Steps towards a Danish power system with 50 per cent wind energy

Ea Energy Analyses is participating in a joint project under the research program ForskEl together with researchers, experts and industrial partners. The scope of the EcoGrid project is the development of the Danish power system with reference to the integration of 50 per cent wind power and involves issues such as market development and transmission capacity.

 

The first phase of the project was completed in April 2009 and described different possibilities for system architecture, market development and possible new political measures. 

The project also includes reflections on real-time markets and a coherent national smart grid strategy.
