The future heat supply of NyborgThe heat supply of Nyborg is currently based on surplus heat from Kommunekemi a/s plus smaller amounts of surplus heat from industry. With the restructuring of the tax legislation concerning waste and the EU liberalisation of the market for industrial waste suitable for combustion, the conditions for the largest heat producer in Nyborg will change considerably.
Environmentally friendly and cost effective heat supplyEa Energy Analyses has delivered a proposal to Nyborg Forsyning outlining which actions can be undertaken to secure Nyborg Forsyning an environmentally friendly and cost effective heat supply in the future. The alternative types of supply described in the analysis include heat from biomass, solar heat and geothermal heat and import of heat from the Fynsværket.
The project started in August 2009 and was completed in December 2009.
