Energy, heat, and climate planning in Hillerød

Meeting the national target of a 70% reduction in greenhouse gas emissions by 2030 requires new policies and a change in regulation at a national level, but it will also be highly dependent on actions taken at a municipal level.

Hillerød Municipality has an ambitious target of making the power and heat sector, which is responsible for 43% of the total carbon emissions in the municipality, carbon free in by 2035 for the whole municipality.

Ea Energy Analyses is aiding Hillerød Municipality with strategic energy and heat planning, as well as climate planning. The project was started in January 2022 and is expected to be completed by April 2023.
