Ea Energy Analyses has participated in the preparation of the 2021 Energy Outlook Report (EOR) for Vietnam. The report is an important tool for the energy planning in Vietnam, which benefits from the data, scenarios and energy modelling capacity developed for the report.
Local institutions and EREA (the Electricity and Renewable Energy Authority in Vietnam) are strengthened in their capacity for using Balmorel and other models for energy planning and analysing long-term energy scenarios.
The previous EOR was published in 2019, and the modelling framework developed then was expanded for the 2021 EOR. Specifically, Ea Energy Analyses undertook a series of data and model functionality updates for the Vietnamese Balmorel model.
