The Danish Energy Agency publishes technology catalogues on various energy technologies. The catalogues contain technical, economical, and environmental information for a number of energy plants, and they are used for modelling and other analyses. To ensure availability of the best data, the catalogues are updated regularly.
Ea Energy Analyses has updated data for costs and efficiency in the existing data sheets for the technology catalogue on individual heating (”Teknologikatalog for individuelle opvarmningsanlæg”). The focus was on heat pumps and district heating, but data for other technologies were updated as well, where a significant change had occurred. The text in the report was updated as well, where it was suitable. Furthermore, a new chapter on electric boilers, complete with a data sheet, was added as part of the project.
The technology catalogue on individual heating technologies plays a central role as a basis for development of plans, policies, and strategies to support the green transition of the heat supply and thereby reaching Denmark’s climate goals. The latest large update of the catalogue for individual heating technologies happened in 2021, and since then, the energy market has been through quite the shake-up, which also affected the prices of heating technologies, and hence the update was necessary.
The project ran from April to September 2025.
