The Technology Catalogue for the Ukrainian Energy Sector provides an overview of pathways to strengthen Ukraine’s electricity supply.
Ea has again assisted the Danish Energy Agency in updating and expanding the urgent technology catalogue for the Ukrainian energy sector. The catalogue provides a comprehensive overview of the technologies best suited to reinforce Ukraine’s electricity supply during the upcoming winters, given the current circumstances in the country.
The technology catalogue is intended to support Ukraine’s Ministry of Energy in rebuilding and further developing the energy system. At the same time, it provides local stakeholders, developers, and companies with a clear and common foundation for planning and implementing new solutions.
In collaboration with the Danish Energy Agency and the Ukrainian partner, the Institute of Economics and Forecasting, the technology assessment was updated based on resilience, availability, scalability, and the speed at which technologies can be deployed and connected.
The updated edition of the urgent technology catalogue also includes separate, in-depth analyses of resilience, opportunities for faster grid connection, and the potential for using local Ukrainian biomass for electricity and combined heat and power production.
The selected technologies are described in the catalogue, which is supplemented by annexes containing detailed analyses and data sheets for each technology.
The technology catalogue with annexes can be downloaded on this site.
