Ahmed Aly is a consultant and an energy analyst experienced in consulting and advancing analysis on renewable energy technologies, energy transition, and energy for sustainable development. Ahmed is experienced in conceptualizing and simulating long-term energy transition scenarios, conducting spatial suitability analysis for large-scale renewables projects, assessing techno-economic feasibility of large-scale solar power technologies, and engaging with key stakeholders -incl. governmental institutions, project developers, development partners, DFIs and NGOs- to identify the opportunities and the barriers for renewables-based energy transition in developing countries. Ahmed has an extensive experience working with clients and cooperating with partners in the MENA region, SSA, and Europe.
