Dialogue and knowledge exchange on energy related issues and practises among the Baltic Sea States may provide a platform of collaboration fruitful to the joint regional development for sustainable energy. The Information Office of the Nordic Council of Ministers in Kaliningrad has initiated several projects to further such dialogue and knowledge exchange with among other Denmark. On several occasions, Ea Energy Analyses has assisted the Nordic Council of Ministers in twinning and knowledge exchange. Please see details below.
Study tour 25-27 January 2012
Study tour in Denmark for Kaliningrad project coordinators. The aim of the visit was to strengthen the cooperation with Nordic municipalities and organisations, and to discuss concrete project activities within different areas of cooperation. The study tour focused on municipal energy and climate planning with special attention on energy efficiency in buildings.

Workshop in Kaliningrad for Kaliningrad Municipalities on Danish energy planning practises followed by discussion of the core challenges of three specific energy plans, namely that of Mamonovo Municipality, Pionerski Municipality and Neman Municipality.

Presentation at training seminar in Kaliningrad on energy planning, energy management and energy audits for the government of the Kaliningrad Region, Kaliningrad Regional Duma, municipalities, municipal and private energy companies and NGO’s. The seminar was organised by the Information Office of NCM Kaliningrad within the framework of the NCM projects “Capacity building of local administrations through cooperation between Nordic and Russian regions and municipalities –Phase II” and “Energy cooperation in North-West Russia – Phase II”

Joint study tour in Denmark and Sweden for representatives of the Kaliningrad regional authorities and Saint Petersburg government, legislative assembly and SMEs within the framework of the NCM project “Energy Cooperation in North – West Russia – Phase II”.
