The Danish government cooperates with Indonesia on energy planning, renewables integration and energy efficiency, in order to assist Indonesia in moving towards a more sustainable future energy system.
In this project, Ea Energy Analyses, supported by a local Indonesian partner, carried out a screening of Indonesian provinces, to assess their current and future energy use, the renewable energy potential and the power system characteristics. The aim was to shortlist the most relevant and promising provinces, which would then be invited for cooperation on regional energy modelling activities throughout 2019, in order to support the development of the respective regional energy planning documents (RUEDs).
