In this project, Ea Energy Analyses updated the Vietnamese technology catalogue, which was first published in 2019. The work included updating chapters on existing technologies, both the qualitative descriptions and the methodology chapters. New subcategories were added in the sections on coal, wind and solar PV, and new technologies, such as tidal power and CCS were added as well.
The updated catalogue will be an input to the next Vietnamese energy outlook report, which is expected to be published during 2021.
The project ran from June 2020 to August 2021 and was carried out in collaboration with local consultants from Institute of Energy, the Electricity and Renewable Energy Agency in Vietnam, EREA, for the Danish Energy Agency.
