Ea has supported the Danish Energy Agency in developing an urgent technology catalogue for the Ukrainian energy sector, in order to determine which types of technology are important for increasing the electricity generation in the winter period of 2023/2024 and 2024/2025. With the catalogue, the Ministry of Energy of Ukraine can work to restore and develop the power system of Ukraine, and local stakeholders, developers, companies, and others will have a well-defined set of technologies to work from.
In collaboration with the DEA and local Ukrainian partner Institute of Economics & Forecasting, a list of technologies was assessed based on their resilience, availability, size, and the speed of which they could be constructed and installed. The chosen technologies were then described in the catalogue, and a data sheet provided for each of them. The technology catalogue can be downloaded on the DEA website or here on this page.
