Helena has been with the EU-China Energy Cooperation Platform (ECECP) for the past three years, before joining Ea Energy Analyses as a consultant in 2023. She recently defended her PhD in Management (Energy Policy) at the Beijing Institute of Technology and holds a MA in International Economics & Governance from the University of Bayreuth. Her doctoral thesis focused on the analysis and design of local energy markets and the development of business models for decentralized energy markets in China. Helena has a strong background in both EU and China related energy sector issues, as well as a background in energy system modelling.
