Ea Energy Analyses recently published a report titled “Value of Forecast for a wind power plant Owner”, as a part of the IEA Wind Task 36 phase II. The report received financial support from EUPD (the Energy Technology Development and Demonstration Programme).
In the report, the value of wind power forecasts for a wind power plant owner is assessed for different bidding strategies in the day-ahead and balancing market. A case-study on German offshore wind is included to illustrate the conceptual descriptions of wind power bidding.
