In February 2016, The Danish Energy Agency published the report “En effektiv gassektor” (An efficient gas sector) with recommendations from the work initiated by a plan for growth, “Vækstplan 2014”. Ea Energy Analyses contributed as consultants on part of the tasks with an analysis on the economic regulation of the gas sector in Denmark.
The work done by Ea Energy Analyses consisted of an overview of the current economic regulation of the Danish gas sector and the demand for efficiency as well as the development in need for investments and gas consumption.
As part of the project, Ea Energy Analyses conducted a base line projection of the development in the company’s regulation accounts and analysed of the challenges in gas sector in comparison with electricity sector in relation to considerations of using the market structure known from the electricity sector in the future market for gas.
