Ea Energy Analyses assisted the Danish Embassy in Ethiopia in designing a program for institutional capacity building – particularly in connection to wind power. The task was to identify the capacity needs of the relevant institutions and formulate a program that makes the best use of Danish experiences with wind power.
Ethiopia’s power generation is dominated by hydropower, but plans are in place for significant expansion in the next couple of years within equal shares of hydro, solar and wind.
A draft program for the Accelerating Wind Power Generation in Ethiopia (AWPGE) was formulated.
