The LCoE Calculator was originally developed in a collaboration between the Danish Energy Agency and Ea Energy Analyses, as an online tool for calculating production costs of electricity when using various technologies, adapted to local circumstances (fuel costs, interest rates).
The purpose of the project was to update and improve on the LCoE Calculator, so the tool could be kept up to date in relation to the development of prices of offshore wind and biomass in particular, as well as improving on the functionality of the model.

The project was carried out for the Danish Energy Agency and ran from February to May 2018.
