Climate and sustainability plan for Helsingør Municipality

Denmark | February 2018 - March 2019

Helsingør Municipality wishes to be one of the municipalities in Denmark with the smallest carbon footprint per inhabitant. As a result, the municipality has a goal of reducing CO2 emissions to a maximum of one tonne per inhabitant in 2030, and for the municipality to be carbon neutral in 2050 at the latest.

To ensure the ambitions for CO2 reductions and climate adaptations can be realised, Helsingør Municipality asked Ea Energy Analyses to help prepare a coherent climate and sustainability plan. The plan included goals and measures taken regarding the CO2 emission from all sectors, as well as goals for the efforts in climate adaptation.
