The great rise in output from sun and wind power begs the question of the need for electricity storage.
In this project, Ea Energy Analyses mapped relevant technologies for electricity storage for the Danish Energy Agency and assessed which of them have the greatest potential. There was a special focus on technologies for longterm electricity storage, as a supplement to battery solutions.
The result is used for an update of the technology catalogue about energy storage made by the DEA.
The project ran from November 2018 to February 2019.
