Ea Energy Analyses participated in a joint project under the research program ForskEl together with researchers, experts and industrial partners. The scope of the EcoGrid project was the development of the Danish power system with reference to the integration of 50 per cent wind power and involved issues such as market development and transmission capacity.
The first phase of the project was completed in April 2009 and described different possibilities for system architecture, market development and possible new political measures.
The project also included reflections on real-time markets and a coherent national smart grid strategy.
