Green taxes on the industrial sector in Denmark

Denmark | January 2009 - February 2009

The project reviewed the current level of energy taxes on the industrial sector and evaluated how changes to the level of energy taxation could influence energy efficient behaviour and fiscal income for the state.

The taxation of electricity for the use of heat pumps and heating elements was also considered along with the use of residual process heat in industry.

The report provided background information for policy development for the Ecological Council (Det Økologiske Råd, now Rådet for Grøn Omstilling).
