Action plan for Djurs Energiland

Denmark | May 2009 - October 2009

Ea Energy Analyses has been assisting the municipalities of Norddjurs and Syddjurs in the development of an action plan for Djurs Energiland, including a statistical basis for the energy consumption for 2007 and a vision of a possible energy future based on much lower CO2 emissions. The action plan contains nine actions focusing on energy savings, increased utilization of renewable energy resources and restructurings in the transport sector. The actions have been selected and concretised by the two municipalities and Djurs Energiråd, with input from Ea Energy Analyses.

Interaction with measures at national and EU level

In the selection of actions to take place on a local level, the importance of their ability to support the measures, visions and targets of the EU and the national government has been emphasised. Thus the actions on a local level will be considered in connection with any expected changes in the future in the national main electricity, heat, and transport systems.

The project started in May 2009 and was completed in December 2009.
