Advice for Danish Combined Heat and Power Plants

Denmark | March 2020 - December 2023

Along with NIRAS, PlanEnergi, BDO and Advokatfirmaet Energi & Miljø, Ea Energy Analyses have been given the task of giving advice for the many CHP’s that are vulnerable to rises in heat prices, as the governmental aid scheme has ended.

The state has allocated 26 mio. kr to support small CHP’s based on natural gas that have received the governmental support for the past years. The Danish Energy Agency manages the support and has during the spring of 2020 selected the consultants, who will oversee the effort in the coming four years.

The counselling will be free for the CHP’s and cover analyses and calculations of the production of the plant, options for expansion of the heating foundation and optimization of the district heat grid in relation to the individual needs of the plant.

Ea Energy Analyses takes care of the overall project management, securing the progress of the project, as well as coordination, knowledge sharing and reporting to the DEA.

The project runs from March 2020 to the end of 2023.
