In this project, Ea Energy Analyses carried out an analysis of shore power in Nuuk harbour for the Greenlandic utility company Nukissiorfiit.
The analysis focused on the options for delivering shore power to ships when they are docked in Nuuk, as well as the options for running harbour cranes on electricity. The costs for current customers and the costs of delivering electricity were used as a starting point. From there, the analysis contributed to recommendations for a pricing that is attractive for all parties.
The project ran from March to September 2019.
