Climate plan for Rudersdal

In the DK2020 project municipalities commit to develop and implement climate action plans that live up to the Paris agreement. Rudersdal Municipality has, along with 45 other municipalities, become a part of the second phase of the DK2020 project, and this entails a commitment on the municipality becoming climate neutral within its geographic area by 2050 at the latest.

Ea Energy Analyses has supported Rudersdal Municipality in developing a climate action plan that illustrates, how the municipality will meet the target. For this purpose, several scenarios have been set up:

• A baseline scenario based on energy usage and greenhouse gas emissions for 2018 and 2019
• A reference scenario containing the expected national measures
• An action scenario with the municipal measures that have been decided on
• Target scenarios, which have been set up based on climate targets, as well as a perspective for 2050.

In addition, the most important areas of interest have been identified and sector specific milestones have been suggested.

The project ran from January 2021 to June 2023.
