Allerød Municipality has a goal of having a fossil free heat sector by 2035. As there is a number of areas in the municipality that are not covered by a planned extension of district heating, Allerød Municipality wished for a study of possible solutions and barriers for changing to alternative and green joint solutions in areas with dense low-rise buildings, such as air/water heat pumps.
For this purpose, Ea Energy Analyses did pilot studies of joint solutions in four residential areas. These studies work to support the transition for the heat consumers in the areas covered by the pilot projects, as well as inspiration for other residential areas in the municipality. The analyses were presented in a case catalogue, which encompassed four residential areas in Allerød Municipality.
The project ran from November 2022 to December 2024.
