Measures to reduce greenhouse gas emissions in Denmark towards 2030

Denmark | June 2019 - September 2019

Ea Energy Analyses has analysed a number of measures to significantly reduce greenhouse gas emissions in Denmark by 2030 as a part of the technical background material for Confederation of Danish Industry’s 2030 plan Together we create green growth (‘Sammen skaber vi grøn vækst’). In total, the measures are meant to reach the Danish government’s target of reducing greenhouse gas emission by 70% in 2030, and at the same time look towards the 2050 targets.

The analysis shows measures and socio-economic costs in electricity and district heating, transport, buildings and industry. In addition, contributions for greenhouse gas emission reductions from other sectors such as agriculture are estimated based on a literature review.
