Ikast-Brande Municipality has joined the DK2020-project, now titled Klimaalliancen (“the climate alliance”). Through Klimaalliancen the municipalities pledge to develop and implement climate action plans that live up to the Paris agreement, and to be climate neutral within their geographic area by 2050 at the latest.
Ikast-Brande Municipality has set a target of reducing their carbon emissions by 70% in 2030 compared to the level in 1990, and to reach net zero carbon emissions by 2050.
Ea Energy Analyses is assisting Ikast-Brande Municipality in their work to develop a strategic energy plan.
