Key qualifications

Jens Christian is an energy analyst with expertise in GIS analysis. Through projects in China, Indonesia, and Denmark, he has integrated geographical data into energy system models to analyse the expansion of wind and solar energy, considering meteorological conditions, land use and infrastructure. Moreover, he analyses the weather-related risks to energy security arising from the increasing share of renewable energy.

Jens Christian also has extensive experience with the Balmorel energy system model. His work includes techno-economic analyses of new technologies, including large heat pumps for district heating, as well as scenario analyses of energy systems in the face of technological and political uncertainty.

In addition to his analytical skills, Jens Christian has extensive experience in communicating findings through clear visualisations that support decision-making.
