Ea co-authors energy masterplan for Indonesian region

| On going - On going

While the journey towards a sustainable future requires a continued global effort, it’s essential to acknowledge that, like any journey, the first steps must be small and local. In keeping with this on December 7, 2023, the Nusa Tenggara Barat (NTB) Energy Masterplan was launched.

It is a collaborative effort by Dinas ESDM Provinsi NTB, the Danish Energy Agency (DEA), and Ea Energy Analyses. This report, part of the Indonesia-Denmark Energy Partnership Programme (INDODEPP) outlines a roadmap for Indonesian region West Nusa Tenggara’s (NTB) transition to net-zero emissions by 2050 – an ambitious target announced in COP26.

At the launch event, the report was signed by Regional Secretary of NTB Province Drs. H. Fathurrahman, M.Si. The launch also included a spirited panel discussion which included H. Sahdan, ST, MT, head of Dinas ESDM Provinsi NTB, along with representatives from National Energy Council and PLN NTB. August Axel Zachariae, Head of Energy Cooperations, Embassy of Denmark to Indonesia was the signing member from the Danish side and part of the panel.

The Ea presentation from the launch event can be found here.

Contributors to this report include Niken Arumdati from Dinas ESDM Provinsi NTB, Konstantinos Athanasiou from Danish Energy Agency, and Sara Shapiro-Bengtsen, Francesco Gaballo, and Anant Atul Visaria from Ea Energy Analyses.
